ABOUT ME
Welcome to my personal/professional website, where I try to show in a clear and concise manner the most relevant items in my cv.
I am the Director of ICE of the University of Alicante [web]. I was the Dean of the Education School from 2005 to 2009 of the University of Alicante. I hold a Ph.D. in Pedagogy from the University of Alicante and I am a lecturer in the Area of Didactics and School Organization within the Department of General and Specific Didactics of this university.
I teach “Curriculum Design and Digital Classrooms in Pre-School Education” at the School of Education and “Curriculum Design and Digital Classrooms in Primary Education” in the Master’s Degree in Pre-School Education and the Master’s Degree in Primary Education, all of them at the University of Alicante, Spain, and “Investigación en Tecnología Digital aplicada a la Educación” [Research in Digital Technology Applied to Education] in the Master’s Degree in Educational Research. I also teach at the University of Alicante’s Polytechnic School in the Official Postgraduate Programme on Building: Technology, Research and Development as well as the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya’sMaster‘s Course in Education and ICTs (e-Learning) and the interuniversity Master‘s Degree in Educational Technology: e-Learning and Knowledge Management
I am currently Editor-in-chied for the educational sciences journal Journal of New Approaches in the Educational Research, published at the University of Alicante and aims to achieve scientific excellence.
For years I have been leading the following postgraduate courses (courses only offered by this university): Máster en Educación y Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación [MA in Education and Information and Communication Technologies], Curso de Especialista Universitario en aplicaciones educativas de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación University Specialist Course on Educational Applications of Information and Communication Technologies] and the Curso de Especialista Universitario en Educación Multimedia [University Specialist Course on Multimedia Teaching], Master of Education and Information and Communication Technologies at the University of Alicante.
I have designed the curricula and structure of several online platforms:
Besides, I coordinate several online training courses, such as:
- Diseño y creación de webquests: aprendizaje a través de Internet [Webquest Design and Development: Internet-based Learning].
- Blogs: Un recurso para el aula [Blogs: A Tool for the Classroom].
- Imagen digital en el aula: álbum digital [Digital Images in the Classroom: Digital Album].
I still have time to work in inter-university research groups, write in my blog, give conferences, take part in round tables, supervise Ph.D. dissertations on IT and education, write papers and book chapters, organize conferences… It is obvious that I always have a full diary, but I try to get organized.
